Vanessa Polster Bayer was born on the 14th November 1981, in Orange, Ohio USA, and is an actress and comedian best known to the world from her appearances in the popular “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) over the last seven years, among many other appearances.

Vanessa was a daughter of Todd Bayer and Carolyn (née Polster), who were Reform Jewish adherents. She battled leukemia when she was 15 and successfully defeated illness. Vanessa went to Orange High School from which she matriculated in 2000, following which she enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania, subsequently graduating with a degree in communications and the French language in 2004.
While in college, Vanessa started an internship on such TV shows as “Sesame Street” and “Late Night with Conan O’Brien”, while she was also a part of the comedy group Bloomers. Also, she had a part in the Second City musical “Jewsical: The Musical”, the cast of which was assembled from only Jewish people, important as it was a satirical look at Jewish beliefs.
Her screen debut came in 2009 in the comedy “Off the Cuff”, and soon enough was brought onto the set of “SNL”, firstly as a featured player, but later she was promoted to the regular cast. Since 2012 she has appeared in 149 episodes of the show, which significantly increased her net worth, and her popularity as well. On the show, Vanessa has impersonated numerous celebrities, including Miley Cyrus, among others, while also creating her own characters such as Laura Parsons, Miss Meadows and Jacob the Bar Mitzvah Boy, among others.

In 2015 she had a supporting role in the Golden Globe Award- nominated romantic comedy “Trainwreck”, starring Amy Schumer, Bill Hader and Brie Larson. Most recently Vanessa featured in the films “Carrie Pilby” (2016), and “Office Christmas Party” (2016), which have also improved her wealth.
