Seth W. Moulton (born October 24, 1978) is an American veteran and former Marine Corps officer. A member of the Democratic Party, he won an upset primary victory against nine-term incumbent John F. Tierney to represent Massachusetts's 6th congressional district. Considered one of the most competitive House election in 2014 even before his primary victory, he will face Republican nominee Richard Tisei.After graduating from Harvard University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in physics, Moulton enlisted in the United States Marine Corps just months before the September 11 attacks. Moulton served four tours in the Iraq War, while in between earning his master's degrees in business and public administration in a dual program at Harvard University.
